Another poetry book publised in the USA and New Zealand: A Slightly Larger Book of Kick-Arse Poetry by Lissa Judd.  In addition to the brand new array of poems there is a quirky glossary with, she says, "...blows away the dull dictionary pages and replaces them with definitions and examples that are as hilarious as the poetry." for example:

subterfuge:  sub ter fewj   [rhymes with huge]
Deceit. A sneaky tricky bit of carry-on, like when you tell Mrs Wotherspoon that Stinky Jones stole her pen, having planted the thing in his bag while he wasn't looking.

We had a great response last month from local High Schools, 32 of them buying Kick-Arse Poetry for their literacy/learning support teams and libraries. This is exactly why Dr Judd wrote her book, to get it out there and help people who for one reason or another struggle with reading.

Added a new menu option, "Information" to include Dr Judd's article "Why I Wrote It" plus a new article giving more extensive information on reading problems.

Second New Zealand edition is now available.  And Dr Judd has been spotted in the Australian Outback, working on her next (slightly larger) book of Kick-Arse Poetry.
