A cool growing hybrid, quite happy in our shadehouses where it flowers regularly.
Vriesea Poelmanii was the name given by Léon Duval to seedlings resulting from his cross Vriesea Van Gertii X Gloriosa in the late nineteenth century. There were a number of individual plants selected from this batch, and given the cultivar names Elite, Eric, Favorite, Ramifeli, Red Torch, French Quarter and Selecta.
