The plants in our sales catalog are from this batch. It is a relatively small variety, from Guatemala, and flowers when it is 8 to 10cm high. Needs some shade if grown in a hot, dry area.
The species varies greatly in size, and occurs over a wide area from southern Mexico, West Indes, Columbia, and eastern Brazil. Grows epiphytically in dense masses on trees from sea level to 1,600 meters.
