Hybrid made by Paul Fort and Garland O'Barr, registered by in 1978. Officially described as orange with scarlet tips, violet edge at base, large. A natural seedling from "Dr. A.D. Houghton". (Epiphyllum Society 1996)
Suitable for hanging baskets, flowers are 9cm. diameter and 10cm. deep (small).
We bought our plant as "Indian Chief," but the inner petals are purple (RHS 74A) with a red mid-stripe (RHS 46A) - leaving us wondering about the validity of the name !
