The following plants have been sold by us under names which we now believe were incorrect. We now label them with the changed name, if one is shown.
Tillandsia albida AF92363. This was the name on the seed we received. Now the seedlings are starting to mature, they are obviously not T. albida! They look rather like Tillandsia incarnata, but might be a hybrid.
(October 2001) They have flowered, and have a strange pelican-like shape to their inflorescence! The flowers are very like Tillandsia incarnata, but we hesitate to confirm that until we have done some more identification work. Flowering pictures are now on the photopage.
Tillandsia andicola AF91137. We have found that our name was incorrect, and the plants are actually T. landbeckii subspecies andina.
Tillandsia kurt-horstii. In1999 Dr. Walter Till showed that this name is invalid, because the same plant was named earlier(1931) as Tillandsia graomogolensis
Tillandsia micans AF91315. Seed was supplied with this name, but now the plants are flowering they turn out to be a form of T. latifolia.
Tillandsia macdougalii AF89002. The seed supplier thought the mother plant, that he bought as T. macdougalii, looked like T. matudae. When the seedlings flowered, they turned out to be Tillandsia velickiana.
Tillandsia refiflora AF91169. Flowered May 2000, is actually a form of Tillandsia latifolia var. divericata
Tillandsia species Peru #7, seed # AF91315. Flowered April 2,000, a form of Tillandsia latifolia.
Rhipslis madagascarensis, seed AF951101. Appears to be Rhipsalis clavata.
