A nice form, imported from a California nursery in the early 1990's. During flowering the plant colors up nicely in good light and humidity.
An old plant we have had for 20 years, in flower it is 15 cm high.
This is the batch listed in our sales catalog. They are from local seed sown in 1991, and in March 2000 they are around 10cm. high
Grows from southern Mexico to El Salvador, epiphytic on Oaks and Conifers to 2,400 meters. In its homeland, the bulbous base is home to ant colonies.
