Central western Mexico to Nicaragua. Does not like cold, poorly ventilated conditions.
Our plants were imported from Guatemala, and include a proportion of white flowered plants as in the fourth photo above. This is a similar habit to poppulations of Tillandsia magnusiana, where it appears color identity gene(s) do not function in a small percentage of the population.
