not included) when it is available. This is currently scheduled for late
2007.
This CD is designed to be viewed with a standard Internet browser, such as Mozilla, Internet Explorer etc. There are 6,900 data pages including synonyms, and over 1,000 pictures. The publishers, Bromelia Contacgroep (Dutch/Belgian Bromeliad Society), are aiming to substantially increase the number of pictures for the next version (available free to buyers of the first CD).
There are a number of indexes on the CD, including full genus and species indexes, picture index, sub-family index, and checklist by country of origin. For each species and variety the data page includes publication information, synonyms, distribution and habitat details. Pictures are included where available.
